Climate change adaptation in Tourism

Develop tourism patterns in risk areas that take into account suitable carrying capacity of areas to the changing climate.

Outputs

Tourism plans in risk areas that concern carrying capacity of the area and the ability to manage and control the number of tourists in accordance with carrying capacity.

Number of tourists choosing alternative options which reduce the pressures on natural resources and climatic conditions specific to the areas increased; and the economic value of climate-resilient tourism risen.

Number of domestic and foreign tourists or entrepreneurs selecting destinations in risk areas for MICE increased; and the economic value of climate-resilient tourism risen.

Local Administrative Organizations in risk areas integrate the plan on climate change adaptation in tourism into local development plans; and are able to develop types of tourism appropriate to the local context as well as to effectively respond to climate change impacts.
