Operation and organization of T-PLAT

4.1

T-PLAT Steering Committee (SC)

Authority

  • Provide decisions, recommendations and/or advice on project management and policy decision making;
  • Facilitate the works and implementation of T-PLAT;
  • Propose to invite representatives of various agencies (both public and private sectors) to provide information and comments as appropriate;
  • Establish the T-PLAT Working Group;
  • Review the T-PLAT project progress and;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the SC Chairman.
4.2

The members of the SC are comprised of the:

1. Permanent Secretary, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Chairman
2. Secretary-General of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning First Vice Chairman
3. Director General of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion Second Vice Chairman
4. Director of Climate Change Adaptation Office, Global Environmental Bureau, Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) Committee
5. Director General of the Royal Irrigation Department or Representative Committee
6. Director of the National Statistical Office or Representative Committee
7. Director of the Thailand Research Fund or Representative Committee
8. Secretary-General of the National Research Council of Thailand or Representative Committee
9. Executive Director of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or Representative Committee
10. Director of Office of International Cooperation, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment or Representative Committee
11. Representative of the Asia-Pacific Adaptation Information Platform (AP-PLAT)/ National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) Committee
12. Director of the Environmental Research and Training Centre (ERTC) Committee and secretary
13. Director of the Climate Change Management and Coordination Division (CCMC) Committee and secretary
14. Director of the Climate Change Section, ERTC Committee and assistant Secretary
15. Director of the Policy and Strategy Section, CCMC Committee and assistant Secretary

T-PLAT Working group (WG)

Authority

  • Consider and develop related information and the T-PLAT web content;
  • Facilitate the coordination with networks, experts and related organizations;
  • Implement and report progress and challenges to the SC and;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the SC.

The members of the SC are comprised of the:

1. Director of Environmental Research and Training Centre (ERTC), Department of Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP) Chairman
2. Director of the Climate Change Management and Coordination Division, Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) Vice Chairman
3. Director of the Policy and Strategy Section, the Climate Change Management and Coordination Division, ONEP Committee
4. Director of the Database and knowledge section, the Climate Change Management and Coordination Division, ONEP Committee
5. Representative of Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC) / Green Pacific Co., Ltd. Committee

4.3

T-PLAT Secretariat

Authority

  • Collect and analyse related information with technical support from the MOEJ;
  • Information management;
  • Develop T-PLAT’s web structure and contents;
  • Coordinate with WG, SC and related organizations;
  • Organize WG and SC meetings including consultations with relevant agencies;
  • Overview T-PLAT project implementations;
  • Disseminate and promote the T-PLAT and;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the WG and SC.
